Projects with Purpose
New Energy Argentina develops renewable energy projects across three key areas: wind, solar (PV), and green hydrogen & ammonia. Our work reflects a sustained commitment to innovation, environmental responsibility, and long-term impact.
EARLY DEVELOPMENTS
Solar Energy (PV)
Solar PV projects were part of our early development efforts, contributing to the diversification of Argentina’s energy matrix. These initiatives focused on grid integration and sustainable design, implemented with the same high standards that define our approach today.
Hybrid & Future Integration
Post-2020, we have maintained a steady commitment to solar development, exploring the integration of PV into hybrid systems and its role in future hydrogen-related infrastructure.
LOS RAIGONES
The solar photovoltaic farm Los Raigones is located in the province of La Rioja and has a capacity of 163 MWp, subject to obtaining all the necessary permits.
SANTA CLARA
The Santa Clara solar farm is located in the north of the province of San Luis. The project has a capacity of 375 MWp and is ready to build, subject to obtaining all the necessary permits.
MOLINO VIEJO
The Molino Viejo solar farm is located in the province of San Juan. The project has a capacity of 102 MWp and is ready to build, subject to obtaining all the necessary permits.
LA TOMA
The solar farm La Toma is located in the province of San Juan and has a capacity of 118 MWp, subject to obtaining all the necessary permits.
BUILDING STRONG FOUNDATIONS
Wind Energy
Our wind energy journey began in 2017 under RP Global Argentina, with the development of grid-connected projects across various regions of the country. These projects laid the foundation for our technical expertise and local partnerships.
Expanding Our Portfolio
Since 2020, we have continued to expand our wind portfolio, both as standalone projects and as a critical component of our green hydrogen strategy. Wind energy remains central to our developments, powering large-scale electrolysis and supporting Argentina’s renewable energy goals.
LOS TAMARISCOS
The wind farm project Los Tamariscos is located in the province of Rio Negro and has a capacity of 300 MW. RP Global has taken wind measurements there since 2018.
YUNCON
The wind farm project Yuncon is located in the province of Neuquen and has a capacity of 541 MW. RP Global has taken wind measurements there since 2018.
PAULINA
The wind farm project Paulina is located in the province of Buenos Aires and has a capacity of 145 MW. RP Global has taken wind measurements there since 2018.
STRATEGIC FOCUS
Green Hydrogen & Green Ammonia
Our current strategic focus is on the development of green hydrogen and green ammonia projects, positioning Argentina as a global supplier of clean fuels.
Gaucho Wind to Hydrogen & Green Ammonia
Our flagship initiative, Gaucho Wind to Hydrogen & Green Ammonia, is being developed in stages in the province of Santa Cruz. This project aims to produce up to 1.2 million tonnes of green ammonia per year, primarily for export to Europe, while also addressing local demand.
The project includes over 3 GW of wind capacity and 2 GW of electrolysers, supported by extensive environmental, technical, and regulatory studies in partnership with GIZ and other international experts.
